The article “Emotional intelligence in students and in a post-post-pandemic context” intends to critically analyze the set of theoretical perspectives in various contexts on the evolution and situation of emotional intelligence in basic level students after experiencing the great 2020 pandemic. of covid-19, as opposed to the exaggeration defined by the cognitive model of educational systems, as opposed to the educational model where greater attention is given to socio-emotional development. The field work revolves around the documentary methodology, therefore, it is also a scientific procedure of inquiry, collection, organization, systematization and interpretative analysis of information related to the subject of study. According to Hernández Sampieri et al (2014), documentary research aims to detect, obtain and consult the bibliography or any material that originates from other knowledge or information from another reality. The conclusions show that the meaning and perspective of emotional intelligence, as an expression of socio-emotional development, leads to the need to design new educational models with priority in this dimension, and in response to the problem of the post-pandemic in general, and the post-pandemic. in our Peruvian context in particular.
