Throughout history corruption has always existed, from very remote times to the republican era, and it has been transmitted from generation to generation, in each period of government it has affected the management of the Peruvian state, as a consequence Peru has not been unable to grow or develop as desired, generating stagnation in socioeconomic development, with considerable material losses and a social situation with increasing poverty and inequality, which is why this theoretical study has been formulated on the main causes of corruption in the Peruvian public management, finding that these causes are originated on the one hand by the people in charge of government, who focus on getting power and money for themselves; and on the other hand, the external causes related to management and control regulations, in this sense it is important to attack these two aspects that do not allow a transparent and effective management of the Peruvian state to improve the growth and development of the country.
