The strategic management of health systems shows differences in their public and private subsystems. The objective of this research was to conduct a review of the literature published in the period 2018-2023 on the strategic direction in the administrative management of Health Centers in Peru. Methodology used was systematic review of scientific literature related to waiting time in outpatient care in hospital centers in Peru in databases Scopus, Web of Sciences, Scielo and Latindex. Prisma guide was applied for selection of studies and Strobe to evaluate editorial and methodological quality. In initial search, 1,450 scientific articles were identified, of which 236 were screened that included the variable Strategic direction in administrative management in title or summary, based on the application of inclusion and exclusion criteria, 12 scientific publications were meta-analyzed. The majority of studies (83.33%) were published between the years 2019-2021, published mainly in Peru (50%) and Cuba (33.33%), on patients mostly seen in outpatient services in general (41.66 on patients mostly seen in outpatient services in general (58.33%). All studies were carried out in public institutions. Most of the articles were published in journals indexed in the Scielo database , in Scopus and a smaller proportion (8.33%) in Latindex.
