The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between the institutional climate and the work performance of the workers of an UGEL in Cajamarca. An applied study with a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive, correlational approach was carried out. An instrument was applied to a sample of 125 director users anonymously and voluntarily. Descriptive results were found, which show that the institutional climate is at a low level, with its dimensions having the greatest weakness: motivation, leadership and communication, and it was also found that job performance is at a moderate level, with its dimensions having the greatest weakness. attitudinal factors related to initiative and responsibility. Regarding the correlational results carried out using Spearman’s Rho statistical test, a result of 0.858 and bilateral significance of 0.00 was obtained, resulting in < 0.05, reaching the conclusion that there is a significant positive relationship between the institutional climate variable and job performance.
