Bullying at school is a complex phenomenon and a public health problem. The objective of the study was to describe the levels of bullying in high school students of an educational institution in Callao-Peru. The study design was non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional. The instrument used was the Cisneros self-test questionnaire of school bullying by Piñuel and Oñate (2005), adapted by Carmen Rosa Orosco Zumaran (2012). The sample was non-probabilistic by convenience and consisted of 292 high school students. The results showed high levels of restriction-communication, exclusion-blocking, intimidation-threats and verbal harassment in the dimensions of bullying in 19.9%, 15.1%, 12.7% and 4.1% respectively. Concluding that students in a public institution perceive bullying actions that seek to restrict, block or hinder their communication in various ways (19.9%), There is an intentional exclusion from activities, conversations, games and any other form of social participation (15.1%). They are experiencing verbal or gestural expressions to instill fear, intimidate or control their behavior (12.7%) and with a lower percentage they perceive disrespect, verbal and gestural humiliation, mockery, hatred and ridicule towards their person (4.1%).
