Qualitative researchers are interested not only in telling stories, but also in developing knowledge to answer questions or solve problems, for this it is essential to consider quality standards. Furthermore, as researchers, we need to know our research better and there may be ways in which we can support the methodological integrity of the work that are unique to the study and are not listed in the standards (which are intended to be applied in qualitative studies), therefore , understanding the logic behind reporting standards can help us understand how to apply a standard within each investigation, in line with what the APA 7 and the JARS warn – which is why, from Heidi Levitt’s text of the year 2020, scoping review, based on the standards, the criteria can be better adapted. investigative quality.
