The phenomenon of Urban Expansion in the City of Lima has led to greater spatial fragmentation and polarization in Lima society in the last 3 decades; Given this, the prediction obtained through cellular automata such as the SLEUTH model turns out to be useful as a scientific basis for the design of provisional urban planning policies. In this sense, the object of study was the review of a selection of indexed articles on this topic for the analysis of coincidences or disagreements in these findings; Using the PRISMA guide, a systematic review was carried out in the Scopus, EBSCO and Scielo databases, and applying exclusion criteria, 20 articles related to the research were selected. Concluding, there are coincidences among the cited authors in the sense that the SLEUTH model is a powerful tool for predicting urban expansion, predicting better performance of urban planners.
