The article intends to outline the operative techniques to the problems of the phenomenon under study in legal research, from the perspective of qualitative and quantitative approaches, in the social sciences. It should be noted that the legal phenomenon, is from the perception of a social control tool combined by norms (laws) that command and temporarily and spatially protect facts, subjects and values, obtaining an accumulation of legal knowledge, for its application, interpretation and sanction.
