Technical training for rural poultry farmers, as an educational process, aims to enhance skills and knowledge in areas related to agricultural production, incorporating technical, practical, and theoretical aspects. Its focus includes new technologies, sustainable production methods, resource management, and good agricultural practices, with the goal of improving productivity in poultry farming and contributing to the sustainable development of rural communities. The systematic literature review (SLR), based on open-access scientific documents in English from 2014 to 2023, identified 31 relevant papers in the Scopus database. While technical training in poultry production addresses common challenges such as diseases and market access in various regions, the review highlights the lack of detailed information on improving rural poultry production through technical training programs. There is an emphasis on the need for government intervention to support programs addressing management, feeding, biosecurity, business management, and access to modern technologies. Additionally, it is suggested to include topics related to waste management and environmental preservation in the training. Governmental entities and universities linked to agricultural activities are recommended to promote research and strategic actions to optimize poultry production in rural environments through technical training for residents.
