The incipient knowledge about public policies and their lack of implementation in the municipalities of Peru, has originated the present research article, which aims to address the existence of this important political tool in the municipal governments of the country, the study has been conducted from different social approaches, which have allowed to know what is the usefulness and importance of the policy in the development of local societies. The research methodology is characterized by a quantitative approach, of exploratory scope with a documentary and bibliographic analysis, enriched with scientific production related to the subject, it is concluded that this research subject is of sociological and anthropological interest for the current contemporary states, and its design as innovative public policies should serve to solve a series of problems that affect local societies in Peru.
