The general objective of this research was to evaluate the relationship between virtual learning environments and collaborative work in students from a private university in Chimbote. The research was non-experimental, explanatory correlational and basic, with a quantitative approach, the technique was applied. From the survey to a sample of 205 participants, the results showed the impact of virtual learning environments (VLE) with collaborative work, highlighting the availability dimension, a significant positive impact B = .376 and virtual environments and virtual communication show a trend towards statistical significance, however flexibility does not show a significant impact with a B=.056, no significant differences are shown in women and men when working collaboratively through virtual learning environments. It is concluded that the dimension availability of resources offered by virtual environments is significantly positively related to collaborative work.
