The objective of the study was to demonstrate that information competence affects the research skills of EBR teachers from two public educational institutions – Independencia, 2023. For which a basic type of research was carried out, with a non-experimental design, causal correlation with the In order to explain the investigative competence from the informational competence, for which the survey technique and the questionnaire instrument were applied, the same ones that were validated, with the Cronbach’s Alpha test values greater than 0.80 were obtained. The results showed that information competence affects the research skills of EBR teachers from two public educational institutions – Independencia, 2023, according to the Cox and Snell and Nagelkerke test.
