The present work describes the possibilities of using technology based on a BCI (Brain Computer Interface) as a tool for the evaluation of cognitive functions, since these are determinant for the execution of any task and are an indicator of the conditions for a subject achieves with greater or lesser difficulty various learning. The objective of this study is to establish what is known about the subject, what has been researched on it and the aspects that are still unknown, which generate controversies and, finally, induce the introduction and use of new technologies in the educational field. A qualitative systematic review of articles located in various bibliographic databases such as Dialnet, SciELO, Redalyc and Scopus was carried out, in addition the Google Scholar search engine was used. 84 articles were evaluated and a total of 68 were chosen, considering the following selection criteria: scientific articles published in Spanish and English between 2010 and 2022, where the BCI is the object of study and/or is included in the title of the research and in turn associated with the variable cognitive functions. The review suggests that the use of BCI allows greater effectiveness and objectivity in the evaluation and diagnosis of cognitive functions associated with learning.
