The objective of this study was to evaluate the use of ICTs in public investment management and projects. For this purpose, the present study was developed following a qualitative methodology, using the documentary analysis technique, in which a total of 20 research articles indexed in different databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, SciELO and Proquest were reviewed. Among the main findings, the potential that the use of ICTs in public management and public investment projects has for improving efficiency and reducing costs is highlighted. However, it also mentions the limitations that hinder the effective implementation and adoption of ICTs, such as the resistance to change from the traditional system to new technologies, the lack of trained and updated personnel, and the lack of investment in ICTs. It is concluded that effective ICT adoption requires a strategic investment that includes measures to overcome these barriers, ensuring a successful transition to more modern practices and thus maximizing their positive impact on public management and the execution of investment projects.
