The research study exposes the current situation of an educational institution revealing the decrease in the achievement of virtual learning in students, after the impact of the pandemic, the objective set in this research was the formulation of a formative evaluation model aimed at improving virtual learning. which focused on a sample of 53 students, beginning the study process through the use of a data collection instrument. this study adopted a quantitative approach with a non-experimental design of a propositional descriptive type; therefore, it allowed us to obtain a detailed diagnosis of the state of virtual learning. through the review of studies and pedagogical and philosophical theoretical foundations, a proposal was developed as a guide that guides and perfects the results of the development of learning activities, in addition, strengthens the self-regulation capabilities of the student through systematic and continuous processes. some relevant aspects of the evaluation, such as permanence, regulation and procedural nature, using technological tools to carry out continuous evaluation processes. the main conclusion is the implementation of the formative evaluation model has the potential to raise the level of virtual learning in students.
