In schools, conflicts often result in the breakdown of personal relationships, which has a negative impact on school management. This study seeks to analyze and synthesize information that offers tools and strategies to convert conflict into strengths. To achieve this, a documentary-type descriptive theoretical research was carried out, using PRISMA analysis as support. The descriptors used for the search were “conflict management”, “school management” and “rural educational institution”. The Google Academy, Scopus and Web of Science databases were used. The results of this analysis show that there are theories and theoretical approaches that serve to adequately manage conflicts within schools; concluding that these can be converted into growth opportunities.
