Starting from the observation of an evident reality in an Educational Institution in the city of Chiclayo, Peru, where a resource management highly adherent to norms, traditional, and less functional is identified, without considering the needs of the educational community and with executives lacking the appropriate profiles for management, the objective was proposed to suggest a directive skills program aimed at improving resource management in said educational institution. The study focused on a sample of 85 participants, including 5 executives, 7 hierarchies, and 73 teachers, who were part of the research process through the application of a data collection instrument. A descriptive-propositional quantitative approach with a non-experimental design was adopted, allowing the diagnosis of resource management, and based on theoretical studies, the corresponding proposal was formulated. The overall evaluation of the level of resource management in the educational institution revealed a medium index of 45.5%, with the main result being the creation of a directive skills program to improve resource management, which was considered very suitable according to the validation of five experts. In conclusion, it was determined that the implementation of the proposed program will have a beneficial impact on the resource management of the educational institution.
