The role of ethics in shaping a positive learning environment cannot be underestimated. As Dewey’s ideas on service-learning highlight, educational bond between students and teachers at the university level serves as a crucial foundation for ethical learning. By fostering an environment that encourages open communication, mutual respect, and collaboration, college professors can help students develop the critical thinking skills and moral reasoning necessary for ethical decision making. Additionally, integrating ethical considerations into curriculum can further improve students’ understanding of importance of ethics in their chosen fields.
