The general objective was to determine how the grading of non-monetary administrative sanctions influences traffic tickets. Methodologically, a quantitative, applied, explanatory, non-experimental, cross-sectional design was used. The population and census sample consisted of 39 specialists, and a questionnaire, validated by expert judgment, was used as a reliable instrument. Descriptive results revealed divided perceptions regarding the grading of sanctions, while inferential results showed a significance of .001 and a Nagelkerke coefficient of .837, demonstrating a significant influence and high explanatory power of the model. It was concluded that the appropriate grading of non-monetary sanctions directly affects the legitimacy, proportionality, and effectiveness of the traffic sanctioning procedure.
