Addressing social conflicts is important to understand the dynamics that exist between the actors involved and to be able to anticipate conflict scenarios that affect the social structures of the communities. Conflicts are inevitable, and represent an opportunity to grow as a society; however, their management is still an issue that requires a continuous contribution of experiences given how complex it is to deal with collective points of view. Another relevant aspect is social stability, which represents order and peaceful coexistence in a society, which are drastically altered by the presence of conflicts that are not adequately managed. For this reason, the objective of this research was to determine the incidence of social conflicts on the governability and social stability of the citizens of the province of Talara in Piura. Study carried out in 2023, basic type, non-experimental, transectional, correlational-causal and explanatory level design. For this, 98 citizens chosen by convenience were surveyed using three questionnaires, one for each variable, governance, social stability and social conflict, duly validated by expert judgment; To obtain the reliability of the instruments, a pilot test was carried out on 30 citizens of the province of Talara, obtaining Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.981, 0.984 and 0.943 respectively. Due to the characteristics of the variables, two statistical analyzes were carried out, the multivariate analysis of non-linear canonical correlation and ordinal logistic regression. Given the results, it was evident that with a maximum adjustment of 54.8% there is a significant impact of social conflicts on the governability and social stability of the citizens of the province of Talara, Piura. This indicates that there is dependence on governance and social stability in the face of social conflicts.
