The objective of this research was to determine the effect of an educational program of social skills on cooperative learning in high school students. The methodology used was of the applied type, quantitative approach and pre-experimental design with a single sample of 34 secondary school students. Likewise, the data were collected through the observation technique and the instrument used was the observation form. As a result, it was found that the program generated a difference in the statistical mean between the pre-test and post-test groups; before the intervention, 73.5% of the students’ obtained grades at the beginning and 26.5% in process; while in the post-test, 100% achieved grades of outstanding achievement. In conclusion, the program had a significant effect on cooperative learning according to p=0.00<0, 05.
