The objective of this article was to prepare a systematic review article on prior consultation as a mechanism for the protection of the rights of native communities, where written information was analyzed through scientific articles, with a qualitative, quantitative, mixed approach, review bibliographic and literature. Methodologically, we carried out a systematic review of the literature (PRISMA), Checklist from item 1 to 10 (Table 1). of 50 scientific articles selected from the Scopus and Scielo databases, articles indexed in English, Spanish and Portuguese. These information documents were analyzed according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, determined as the year old and the relevant information, so information was collected from scientific articles during the period 2018-2023. Where scientific evidence and comparisons of prior consultation and rights of native communities were analyzed, which has allowed us to know and have a better understanding of this topic, serving as a source of knowledge for different areas of our society.
