Equity in higher education has been treated from access in admission to the achievement of results in students; nevertheless, higher education in a global context is influenced by a variety of factors differentiated at the country level. The bibliographic review was of a descriptive type considering 23 articles presented in the web journals of science, scopus, scielo from 2017 to 2021, For this reason, the research has been proposed in the categories of access, opportunity, permanence and results. It is highlighted that the most researched topic is related to access and that it decisively influences equity. The other factor that deserved special attention is equity in opportunity, followed by equity in results; permanence was the least mentioned aspect in the reviewed articles regarding the equity of HE in LAC. From the review carried out, it can be deduced that the factors that affect the equity of HE in LAC are equity in access, in the opportunity, in the results and in the permanence.
