The objective was to determine whether municipal management influences the tourist and socioeconomic development of the city of Bagua, 2023. The approach was quantitative, type applied, non-experimental, cross-sectional, causal correlation; the sample was composed of 195 inhabitants of the city of Bagua, during 2023; two questionnaires with validity of content were used (expert judgment), construct (KMO 0.620 Y 0.703), reliability (Cronbach Alpha 0.717 and 0.733), to process the data the statistical program SPSS V26 was used. It was found that municipal management presents a regular level according to 58.4% of the inhabitants of the city of Bagua, 2023; while tourism and socioeconomic development presents an average level according to 68.7%. It was concluded that municipal management significantly influences the tourist and socioeconomic development of the city of Bagua, 2023; given the Rho of Spearman=0.814 that indicates a high positive correlation (p<0.01). The basis of tourism development is municipal management and the willingness of its authorities to work for the benefit of its commune and promote socio-economic development.
