The objective of the investigation was the systematic analysis of the reasonable doubt in the presumption of innocence within a critical analysis and future perspectives because the presumption of innocence is a fundamental principle in the criminal justice system that guarantees that all person accused of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. In this scientific article, the concept of reasonable doubt in relation to the presumption of innocence is examined in detail. Its importance in the criminal process is analyzed, as well as its legal and ethical suggestions. In addition, future perspectives are explored to strengthen the effective application of reasonable doubt in legal systems, as well as the contextualization of the principle of presumption of innocence and its relationship with reasonable doubt, as well as the importance of reasonable doubt as a safeguard to guarantee the justice and the rights of the accused.
