Autonomous learning (AA) is the faculty that the student has to self-regulate learning processes and make decisions that lead to achieving the academic purpose. The objective was to inquire about strategies that contribute to AA in Latin American students; because they show deficient strategies to learn autonomously. The PRISMA diagram was used for the selection of scientific articles, from the years 2018 to 2022 in the databases: Scopus, Dialnet, Redalyc, Scielo, ProQuest, Semantic Scholar, EBSCOhost and DOAJ. Which gave an answer to the question: How is autonomous learning managed in the students of Ibero-America?. Therefore, the results show 17 methodological strategies: Flipped class, audiovisual media, learning diary, among others; 10 virtual tools including: Moodle, LMS, CLOE conversational agent, and 3 articles related to cognitive and metacognitive skills, who have an influence on AA. In conclusion, the application of various methodological strategies, virtual tools and skills contribute to the management of AA, where the student has the opportunity to direct their learning independently.
