This article aims to guide from a sociocultural educational perspective the importance of the use and application of virtual environments with in the educational process; the analysis of the new tendencies with respect to the techniques to provide teaching, likewise the dimensions of the teaching-learning process will be highlighted, as well as the type of theories that according to the authors are used to understand the theoretical model of the variables in study. The study intends to analyze and understand within the educational field all the virtual environments that are used, their approaches and how this influences the teaching-learning process, for this reason we are going to evaluate the level of relationship for that we will study all the related factors regarding to the design of virtual environments which are spaces designed to carry out the teaching-learning process. It should be noted that the process of using virtual environments today is putting face-to-face teaching in second place, however, the results obtained do not present the same type of performance, the achievements of students in learning do not reach the levels required by educational institutions, so the study of the incidence that the use of virtual environments can bring about the teaching-learning process will provide this study with a real analysis of the situation that has occurred in recent years with classes. virtual and the level of student learning, as well as the performance of teachers in the teaching process.
