The study examines citizen participation and social demands in La Molina in the year 2024. La Molina is a district in constant development, facing socioeconomic, human development, urban and environmental challenges that require urgent attention. Through a multidisciplinary approach that combines quantitative and qualitative methods, data was collected on the main indicators of citizen participation associated with the social demands of social organizations. The findings reveal a series of predominant social demands, including the improvement of public services, citizen safety, sustainable transportation and access to affordable housing. In addition, there is a growing interest in environmental issues, such as waste management and the conservation of green areas. Regarding citizen participation, the levels of participation related to the socioeconomic level and social demands are observed, manifested through the recognition of organizations and participation and involvement in participatory processes. The article concludes that there is a direct relationship between social demands by socioeconomic level and levels of citizen participation, having representation through social organizations; citizen participation mechanisms, such as the Participatory Budget, being the scenario for addressing social demands, allowing governments to make decisions in a way that is consensual and validated by the community.
