The objective of this study was to analyze the importance of the use of digital skills in teachers and their pedagogical practice. The methodology was developed under the analytical, synthetic and comparative approach of bibliographic review. The population was made up of the review of 20 scientific articles from the Redalyc, Scopus, Scielo, Redib and Dialnet database between the years 2019 and 2023. The results showed that there are shortcomings for teachers to develop and enhance their digital skills as necessary in this new technological era and for its pedagogical practice. It was concluded that in pedagogical practice, Minedu plays a fundamental role since it is the Institution that must guarantee certain factors such as closing the digital divide, constant training so that teachers develop digital competencies and have the multiplier effect in their educational institutions, thus guaranteeing an optimal educational service according to current needs.
