This systematic review article is based on carrying out a thorough analysis in different scenarios where citizen security is affected in many countries. The objective of this study is to carry out a systematic analysis of the results of reports on citizen security in Peru and Latin America in the last 5 years. The methodology is qualitative, descriptive and bibliographic, for its preparation 30 complete articles in two languages were considered. As a result of the 30 studies found, 50% of the authors point out that to counteract insecurity, new policies must be created, 27% indicate the importance of devices, media and 23% mention that work must be done organized by the police articulated with the serenazgo and the neighborhood councils, the year that had the most publications was 2021 with 47% and the magazine with the most publications was Scielo with 37% and Perú with 33% of publications related to the topic. In conclusion, Latin America and Peru require the intervention of the responsible state of each country, articulated with citizen participation to create strategies, programs and design policies in citizen security to control violence.
