The objective of this work is to inquire about the family role: implications in the achievement of competences, at a general level. For which the use of the methodology, an ordered review was made of the different works and scientific productions in relation to the variable matter of work, the search was made in the following: Scopus, Horizonte, Google Scholar and ScienceDirect, trying to make the topics related to the inclusion criteria are research articles that have been published in scientific journals within the period from 2018 to 2022 with content in their writing either in Spanish or English corresponding to education. During the search, empirical and theoretical contents were found related to: the importance of the role that the family fulfills, in the interrelation between the person and society; Likewise, it is highlighted how important is the recognition of the role that both the father and the mother play, being the basis of the education of their children in the different social and psychological aspects, the effectiveness of the function, educator of the family, is also detailed. thus improving the quality of life of minors and thus their insertion into the social environment. This is how the family efficiently fulfills its educational function, makes it transcend in the improvement of the quality of life of minors, thus inserting a useful being into society. Concluding that there is a significant relationship between the level of significant achievement of the students and the fulfillment of the family role for the achievement of the expected competence.
