The purpose of the study was to evaluate the work and effectiveness of the strategies of both the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the National Police in safeguarding the right to patrimony of the inhabitants of the Amazon region. From a qualitative and basic approach, interviews were conducted with police officers and analysis of documentary sources, mainly from the prosecutor’s files selected for this study. The results reveal institutional advances and achievements, as well as weaknesses and omissions in police and prosecutorial work in the protection of the right to patrimony. It is noted that the challenges for the improvement of the strategies are oriented towards inter-institutional and systematic actions, citizen participation and the use of information and communication technologies.
