This research was conducted with the general objective of determine and analyze whether the effective implementation of the Protocols of Intercultural Justice will promote greater legal recognition of cultural and ethnic plurality in Peru. Research is mixed approach, sequential explanatory design. The qualitative sample is of 5 lawyers specializing in indigenous law and the quantitative sample is of 326 operators of the systems of administration of justice of the La Libertad Region; three valid and reliable tools were developed (Survey, interview and document review) for obtaining data from the variables under study, the information was processed using the statistical software SPSS V23. As a result, the implementation of the Protocols on Intercultural Justice will significantly promote the legal recognition of cultural and ethnic plurality in Peru by the State and its institutions for the administration of justice; where the statistical Tau-b test contingency coefficient of Ken-dall is τ= 0.849, with a significance level of less than 1% (P<0.01), the research hypothe-sis is accepted and null is rejected. It may be added that at the regional level there are al-ready normative advances in the recognition of multicultural and ethnic justice. However, this requires further development of State public policies that promote better mechanisms of interaction between the various justice systems. This, in turn, implies the need to deep-en knowledge about how interculturality is lived in justice and what problems it generates.
