This study aimed to determine how student participation influences school coexistence in a public educational institution in Ica. It was carried out taking into account the quantitative methodology, the design was quasi-experimental of applied type. The population is 156 students in the first year of secondary school in an educational institution in Ica. The sample is 84 students, 4 classrooms of first grade of secondary school participated and non-probabilistic sampling was used. The technique used was the survey and its instrument, the questionnaire on school coexistence, with its respective reliability, as I point out, was 0.893, which indicates that it is consistent and has a high level of reliability. The results show that student participation has a significant influence on school coexistence in a public educational institution in Ica. The significant improvement is 36% after applying the post-test evaluation.
