This research aimed to determine how environmental management based on ISO 14001 impacts the environmental performance of service companies in the hydrocarbon sector in Peru. A quantitative approach was applied, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design, using structured questionnaires administered to 41 environmental management professionals. The results show that 78% of respondents perceive a solid implementation of ISO 14001, while 56% recognize adequate environmental performance. The hypothesis test indicates a significant impact (p = 0.001), and the Nagelkerke coefficient (0.810) demonstrates that environmental management explains approximately 81% of environmental performance. It is concluded that the ISO 14001 standard strengthens sustainability, optimizes resource use, and promotes continuous improvement. It is recommended to consolidate internal audits, training, and corrective actions to ensure comprehensive environmental management.
