The research aimed to examine the scientific production related to citizen participation in public management through a systematic review, taking into account: 1) Registered theories of citizen participation in planning. 2) Instance of citizen participation in institutional organization. 3) Evaluation mechanisms. 4) Control mechanisms: Public hearings and accountability. The review had three inclusion criteria: 1) Articles published between 2021 and 2025; 2) In Spanish; 3) Database: Scielo, Scopus or Web of Science and indexed journals in general.
