The objective of the Pensión 65 Social Program was to provide social assistance to vulnerable older adults aged 65 and over, giving them monetary assistance of 250 soles every two months. Although it is true that this monetary transfer seeks to improve the living conditions of older adults, it is not It contemplates the impact on the labor aspect that upon receiving this money they stop working for a period of time. According to the formulation of the problem, the objective was to determine the labor impact of the Social Pension 65 program in Peru in the year 2022. The methodology used in this research is Propensity Score Matching (PSM) using the nearest neighbor method. The results show that the coefficients of poverty, years of education, unsatisfied basic needs (households with overcrowded housing and households with housing without toilets) are statistically significant at a level of 1%. The expected signs of the Logit model coefficients are correct. On the other hand, from the estimation of the impact parameter on weekly work hours of the Pension 65 Program beneficiaries, it was obtained that ATT= -3.248 is statistically significant at a 1% level. In effect, the participation of adults in the Pension 65 Program decreases the average working day by 3.248 hours per week.
